Technical details:

Cantilevered staircase in exposed concrete. The surface has an R9 slip-resistance rating, and the treads are impregnated to prevent potential moisture staining. 

Special concrete mix with additives (fibers) for stability

Custom-made treads.

We must be involved in the planning process so that the attachment system can be accommodated! Lead time is 10 to 12 weeks from order confirmation.

Cantilevered exposed-concrete staircase passes load testing (2011):

The newly developed cantilevered concrete tread has just been tested under a 350 kg load and passed. At only 8 cm thick (for widths up to 950 mm; 10 cm for widths up to 1,200 mm), it is the thinnest cantilevered concrete tread that can currently be manufactured.

The concrete staircase has a sophisticated internal structure. To achieve the required structural performance, additional components are incorporated into the concrete at a specific concentration. Through repeated testing, we determined the correct composition and made the “high-tech” concrete tread fully functional.

Design:

Adding LED-illuminated glass or fine wood gives the staircase an ultra-modern look. Exposed concrete itself can also provide the finishing touch to a modern home and is currently very much on trend.
