A significant milestone was reached in 2011 when a cantilevered concrete tread measuring just 8 cm thick successfully withstood a test load of 350 kg. This makes it one of the most slender solutions of its kind.

This technical performance is based on a specially developed internal composition for the concrete elements. By selectively combining and calibrating various additives, Siller creates a high-performance concrete whose properties are precisely tailored to the demands of cantilevered structures. Extensive testing produced the optimal material composition and made it possible to create exceptionally slender, load-bearing treads.
